I loved the food and ambience of this restaurant!

Very good location! Delicious cuisine, large selection but small portions! Pleasant atmosphere and nice staff.

The atmosphere is friendly and nice. You can spend evenings here in peace. Everything is beautiful. I recommend.

Very good food and good portions too. Operation and service are very good and fast. Should we be back in Regensburg then the Ratskeller is on the list. I would recommend booking in advance from 6 p.m.

Anyone who loves Bavarian cuisine is in good hands here. Open all day. We enjoyed a 3rd course memu which is highly recommended.

We cannot comment on the quality of the food as our stay at this restaurant didn't quite reach that point. We were attended by a waiter who was from the onset extremely rude. He threw the menus on our table, could be heard complaining to colleagues that we were let in without filling in a form with our address (which we did not know about and would have had no problem filling). Before taking the orders he actually yelled at us, ordering us to fill in the form before he takes any orders. We finally felt unwelcome and took our business elsewhere.

Positively surprised. The dish "Schwabenteller" I've had turned out to be way better than expected. Everything fit together nicely and each individual part of the meal was delicious. The only downside was the poorly decorated part of the restaurant we were able to get an actual regular-sized table at, compared to the better looking ones with 1/2-person tables only.

Staff very friendly, food came very quickly. Schwaben-Pfandl was unfortunately almost cold when we got it. The Ratskeller grill plate wasn't the real thing either. Extremely strong pork taste and the piece of beef sirloin was inedible. Tough although it was medium (you weren't asked whether it was medium or through). Also a very misshapen lump of beef sirloin ... Then € 21.90 would be perfectly ok, but everything has to fit. Sauce felt like a standard gravy, on the grill plate. Good but I would have hoped for better. Vegetables on the grill plate had no more bite. All in all: the food is okay, maybe other dishes are better, I can't comment on that. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

In itself a very nice restaurant, especially the inner courtyard is very inviting. The beer and food are good too. But what I didn't like at all was the lack of soap, disinfectant and no paper towels on the toilet. You should pay attention right now.

I was in Regensburg for one night and decided to go to the rest cellar that evening. I come from the Black Forest and am familiar with hearty and good cuisine. But I've never eaten this good before !! The price is unbeatable! I wouldn't think it was bad if it were more expensive, because I was on cloud nine in terms of taste. The waitresses were very friendly and the atmosphere pleasant. Unfortunately the toilets were really gross. There was a list on the door where cleaning women had to enter, especially during the Corona period. But the last signature was hours before. You'd have to work on that, otherwise I'm absolutely convinced and I'll be happy to come back when I'm around.

Neatly salted prices for almost average food. The ambience seemed a bit shabby and rather unkind, although you could tell that it must have been really charming in the past! The service was okay I would say.

Too expensive...the grillplate cost 22Euro and the other cost 17euro. Both had only 3 very small pieces of meat.

So I would probably not order steak there anymore. It's rather well done. Fish has to be seasoned if it is not seasoned, in my opinion. In terms of price rather too high for the performance

We were outside at a table in the pedestrian zone. The waiter was so good that we later talked about how great they work here. Nice and attentive. The food was very good, only the bread dumplings were not the burner. Nevertheless, we would go back anytime.

We had a family lunch at this place in August 2020. The place is very nice. The food and beer was good. The service was quite quick and friendly. The prices are average. Another good thing about this place is that it is open during daytime and not only in the evenings.

Baked pork with dumplings and sour cabbage very tasty. For this regional, dark beer. Polecam?

Delicious German food with extremely friendly service. We got shots on the house to celebrate us being the first big group after Corona lockdown :)

The waitress do not speak English but was extremely kind and supportive and try to communicate with us. The owner came to the table to say hi. Great plane authentic!

The portions were quite large and the food was very good. The warmness, kindness and accommodating nature of the staff were the true highlight of both our visits.

Not a bed place but there is better places to eat and drink around there. Beer selection was very poor. We sat inside of the building there is cool patio surround by buildings kind of unique. On the patio outside is everybody smoking so we went as far as we can. Waitress was not so nice.
